About Leaside
Leaside sits in the heart of Toronto's east end, bordered by Sunnybrook ravine to the north and the Don Valley to the east. Originally a planned industrial town, it evolved into one of the city's most sought-after residential enclaves. The housing stock is predominantly well-maintained brick bungalows and two-storey family homes from the 1940s–60s, with renovated and custom-built homes commanding premium prices.
The neighbourhood's schools — Leaside High School, Rolph Road Elementary, and others — are consistently top-ranked in the TDSB. Bayview Avenue serves as the main commercial spine: independent restaurants, LCBO, Shoppers Drug Mart, and a community rink at Trace Manes Park. The Eglinton Crosstown LRT (now open) at Laird and Bayview stations transforms Leaside's transit access dramatically.
